Summary Problem Solution Industry Landscape
Two-sided marketplace: Squlptr matches consumers (demand) with vetted aesthetic surgeons (supply) by using a swipe app format to rank anonymized before & after photos of local board certified aesthetic surgeons. Bumble for plastic surgery discovery.
There is no dedicated mobile platform that quickly and directly compares the work local aesthetic surgeons in a head to head and unbiased manner.

Current strategies to attract Millennials have proven to have mixed results. Eighty-two percent of the top plastic surgery posts on Instagram were not from qualified plastic surgeons. And search engine discovery is inefficient. Most companies in this space focus on enhancing physician reputation and visibility with SEO, website services, and brand management.
Authenticity is important to Millennials when choosing a surgeon. Squlptr only accepts board-certified aesthetic surgeons and un-retouched before & after photos. Our mobile swipe function is familiar, intuitive, well suited to evaluate a large volume of visual data, and limits bias and choice paralysis.

Procedure photos are anonymized and randomized, and after a set number of photos are evaluated by the app user, the Squlptr algorithm lists matched and ranked aesthetic surgeon in the results section. Users can then review physician background and reviews, and request a consultation. Because we have a single price model, Squlptr seeks to level the playing field for plastic surgeons by emphasizing surgical results, while minimizing the advantage of marketing budget.
Americans spend almost $17 Billion on 18 million aesthetic procedures. These numbers will grow significantly as mobile-first Millennials enter their 40's and become the major aesthetic consumers.

Most practices rely on traditional marketing strategies, which can give an advantage to those with larger marketing budgets. However, traditional marketing has become less effective with consumers under 40.
